After graduating from high school, I was accepted into my city’s medical school and started my career as a physician. However, Venezuela is currently filled with corruption, economic burdens, and violence; thus, after one semester, I decided to leave everything behind and move to the United States for a better future. Even though I had to start from zero, I want to pursue my dreams no matter the time it takes.
